The Beginning

Well, well, well. Welcome back to school and another year of Sunset Academic Decathlon. The first week is in the books; we covered four subjects in four days (Literature, Math, Social Science, and Art) and tested over all four on Friday. Here are the results:

Overall Individual Scores, Fall 2006, Week One

You'll all notice that some things have changed from the summer (i.e. compulsory attendance), and you'll also notice that many things have remained the same. The consistency is good; however, I predict the return to school will bring on a new wave of outrageously tough competition very soon. Hearts will be broken, damsels rescued, and heroes will triumph. Hmmm...maybe that's something I should write in an essay for Mr. Lindsey's class. But I stand by what I said about competition.

For those of you who don't know, the Sunset Academic Decathlon Invitational competition is fast approaching: November 11th, 2006. I know, I know, November's far, but it will be here before you know it. And all 39/40 of you must be there or your grade will suffer Mr. Lindsey's already abysmal math wrath.
